Customised email lists
The University supports a number of customised email lists. These lists allow staff and select post-graduate students to email groups of people.
Login to the Custom Email Lists Self-Service Portal
To create a custom mailing list you now need to use a University of Melbourne username and password. If you cannot remember your username and password, you can regain access to your account via the University's Identity Management System.

Functional Alias
A Functional Alias is a type of custom email list. A Functional Alias can direct email to another address or to a list of addresses.
For example:
conference-management@unimelb.edu.au, could direct email to either the person or persons assigned to deal with incoming mail.
Requests for a Functional Alias can be submitted via either the ITS Service Desk or through the BSM Platform (Remedy) request.

- Moderated list: a list anyone can subscribe to, however all posts must be approved by moderators before being sent on to the list.
