Hi everyone,
Here are some details about the 2nd risk management meeting coming up
Friday week. Over 70 people in the MID attended the first meeting which
was called in response to concern over seasonal conditions on
dairying. Take home gems from the 1st meeting were about doing water, feed
and financial planning, working out which key inputs to still spend money
on, keep talking with other people, enjoy some social life, review your
plans and adjust your strategies.

MID WATER ALLOCATION FARMER FORUM 2
The U.D.V District Council No 5 in conjunction with the DPI have organised
a meeting for all dairy farmers within the Macalister Irrigation District
to discuss the low water allocation for the season and what strategies
farmers can adopt to overcome this and remain sustainable.
When: 11am until 12:30pm, on Friday 6th October
Where: Macalister Research Farm, Boggy Creek Rd, Riverslea
Lunch: A free sausage sizzle will be provided afterwards
