Hi, my name is Megan Dyer and I am a Dairy Extension Officer with the
Department of Primary Industries in Warrnambool. I've been in the job about
10 months now and I've been given the task of organising a seminar for
farmers and one for service providers.
Therefore I'd like to let you know about:
The Department of Primary Industries Farmer Pasture Renovation Day.
This session is designed for farmers and will be held on Wednesday the 22nd
of March from 12noon - 2:30 at Demo Dairy, Terang. A light lunch will be
provided so there's no excuse not to attend! Guest speakers, Kevin Reed
(DPI), Michael Grant (Stephens Pasture Seeds) and John Gallienne
(Agricultural Consultant) will discuss such topics as endophytes, ryegrass
species with attention to persistence and quality and oversowing Vs
complete renovation, weed control and paddock preparation.
Then for all you service providers out there we are also holding a Pasture
Renovation session for you. This is being held on Wednesday the 22nd of
March from 7:30pm-9:30pm at the Warrnambool Vet Clinic. This session will
be more tailored to you so we recommend that if you're thinking of heading
to one of these you head to this one! The same guest speakers will be
attending and discussing the same topics.
