If any list members/readers know of VCE school leavers or mature aged
people wishing to either upskill or change careers into the dairy industry
can you please advise them that we still have vacencies in the double
diploma course - Diploma of Agriculture/Advanced Diploma of Agriculture
to be run from McMillan Campus, Warragul, by the National Centre for Dairy
Education - Australia.

Those who have Certificate III in Agriculture could be eligible to join
the course at 2nd year level.

The course is conducted over 2.5yrs - March - Oct inclusive for 2 years
then March - June inclusive in the 3rd year.

The course is 50% in the class room and 50% on farm to put the theory into
practice. Placements are over SIX (6) different farms, giving students
the opportunity to learn from a range of farmers and farming systems and
to take the best practices, attitudes and farming systems on board for
their future. Many of these farmers end up being mentors to the students
on an on-going basis.

Graduates of this course are currently working as sharefarmers, farm and
herd managers and in agribusiness.
