Hmmm,
I have been keeping low profile but this one has inspired me a bit to =
get involved.
I spoke on management at the end of the ADC conference in Mount Gambier =
recently, with particular reference to setting goals and planning =
(amongst other things).=20
As a consultant, one of the key things I see on farm are managers and =
owners not giving themselves the time to do justice to applying their =
management skills to their businesses.
We should all do an audit on this on our businesses and truthfully (and =
critically) assess our performance on this. It is a key starting point. =
If you aren't managing your business as well as you could be, are you =
doing it and yourself a serious disservice?
Don't be daunted by this or think you need to generate reams of paper to =
carry this out. Simple plans and target / goal setting is very effective =
and allows you to formulate strategies to move forward.
Remember shuffling (small steps) are still moving ahead, get =
started..... then pick up the pace.
As for the bankers comments, I know this isn't a general view as we are =
often sought out for assistance by banks and financial advisors.=20
I wonder what bankers failed at before they became bankers (very tongue =
in cheek).
