This is an invite to all pasture enthusiasts to the 2006 Pasture Field Day,
which will be taking place on 21st February.

The day will present some of the most experienced professionals in the
fields of pastures, cropping, fertilizer, dairying and economics along with
an insight into what is needed to become an elite athlete-however don't come
with an expectation to come home as an elite athlete!

Talking in the field will be Andrew Allsop, Western District pasture
specialist, who over a 23 year period has worked right throughout the
temperate zones of Australia and is currently working on pasture cultivar
evaluation. John Mulvany, has built up one of the largest followings in
private agriculture throughout Australia through many years of experience.
John would be considered one of the foremost leaders in dairy economics and
will be sorting out the fact from the fiction in this area. Through years of
experience both in the field and in research, John Gallienne is this regions
leader in the areas of plant nutrition and ongoing fertilizer strategies.
John also consults widely in both the dairy and beef sectors. Chris Hibburt
is a well known vet from the Timboon veterinary group. Chris is also a
part-owner of a large dairy and currently practices in the wide areas of
dairy management, animal husbandry, labor management and economics. Brian
Walker started as a share-farmer in the Maffra area, winning the
Share-Farmer of the Year award and went onto now owning his own 600 cow
dairy farm. Brian is considered an outstanding all-round manager, hence his
great success. I will also be discussing the various aspects of pasture and
crop management at the field day.

I look forward to seeing you on the day at Ogilvy's Lane, Poowong, South
Gippsland - 2km west of Poowong, 2km down Ogilvy's Lane -(Vicroads Map 96
D7) at 10:30am!

Kind Regards,

Peter Notman
