For those who are not aware, there are advanced pasture seminars being held
in Shepparton and Warrnambool this week.
Dr David Hume from AgResearch in NZ will talk on the latest developments in
advanced endophyte technologies which have the potential to increase milk
production by 9% with the same inputs by reducing the stress on grazing
animals caused by standard ryegrass endophytes.
Dr Danny Donaghy from University of Tasmania will detail how to manage
advanced pastures for the maximum pasture production, growing more pasture
from the same area and producing more milk from pasture.
I will discuss methods of incorporating advanced pastures into your
renovation program and how to structure a renovation program to maximize
whole farm profitability.
All of these topics are designed to help dairy farmers improve their
