Dear All,
A quick reminder to those of you planning on attending the Dairy Innovators’
Forum at Mt Gambier on Feb 15/16: With only 18 farmer seats left (all non
farmer seats are sold), it will be important to register in the next few
days to avoid disappointment.
Under the tag line of “Freeing the Minds” the theme focuses on innovation in
equity, with speakers including Ashley Waugh from National Foods, Jeff
Walker from PortMac Dairies; the 5000-cow once-a-day NZ farmers Dave & Doug
Turner; and Marcus Elgin and Rod North discussing how to pitch dairy farming
to super funds and other potential investors and much more. And, in a real
coup, the QSS dinner on the Wednesday evening features the after dinner
presentation from Li Cunxin, author of Mao’s Last Dancer (make sure you read
it before hand if you’re coming!)
Meanwhile, all are also encouraged to join dairy scientists from all over
Australia at the Dairy Science Symposium, which takes place in Mt Gambier on
the two days immediately prior – Feb 13/14. Dairy Science has features 6
plenary papers; 28 oral presentations and 30 posters by Australian
scientists reporting on work across the whole spectrum of dairy farm science
and technology. This event will also feature the judging and announcement of
the Young Dairy Scientist for 2006 as well as a scientist/farmer forum
discussing what science will bring to the farm.
Inquiries for either conference should be directed to convenors, Esther
Price Promotions. You can phone us on 1800 177 636; email
esther@estherprice.com.au or visit our website for registration brochures
for both events – www.estherprice.com.au
The organisers of both events would like to acknowledge the significant
support of Dairy Australia in bringing both to fruition.
Kind regards
Esther Price
