<b>The 2nd National Dairy Alliance Dairy Science Symposium</b> <br><br>
which will be held on Monday and Tuesday, 13 and 14 February 2006, at
Mount Gambier.<br><br>
Distinguished scientists will deliver plenary papers in reproductive
science, genetic technologies<br>
of plants and animals, future technologies for dairy farmers and
bioactives, at the Symposium in<br>
Mount Gambier, South Australia.&nbsp; There will be submitted papers and
posters in all areas of dairy<br>
farm science and technology.&nbsp; A scientist / farmer forum will
explore the relationship, attitudes<br>
and perceptions amongst the two groups.&nbsp; And the National Dairy
Alliance / Australian Dairy<br>
Conference award for Young Scientists will be given.<br><br>

Dairy: Meeting tomorrow's challenges in dairying'<br><br>
Dr. Frank Dunshea, DPI Victoria: talking on the topic 'Dairy proteins
'and the regulation of satiety and obesity'<br><br>
Dr. Jonathan Hill, CSIRO Livestock Industries: talking on the topic 'Can
cloning deliver on promises to the dairy industry? Impediment and recent
progress'<br><br>
Dr. Paul Verma, Monash Institute of Medical Research, talking on the
topic 'Characterisation of stem cells isolated from bovine embryos and
adult tissues'<br><br>
Dr. Kevin Smith, DPI Victoria,. talking on the topic 'Converting genomic
discoveries into genetic solutions for dairy pastures'<br><br>
Dr. Richard Gibbs, CSIRO Livestock Industries, talking on the topic
'Capturing benefits from the bovine genome sequence'<br><br>
You WILL be instructed, entertained, and enriched by the event if you are
a dairy scientist,<br>
extension practitioner, leading farmer or supplier of goods and services
