Murray Dairy Board
Three positions on the Murray Dairy Board will become vacant in August 1999.
Two of the outgoing Directors have indicated that they will not be seeking
re-appointment to the Board. The closing date for applications is 5:00pm, 7
May, 1999. Additional information may be obtained by contacting Murray

Australian Rural Leadership Program
Applications for the 7th Australian Rural Leadership program are now being
called for. There are a number of specific dairy scholarships awarded on
the program and the UDV is actively encouraging members to apply for the
program. Closing date for applications is 31 July, 1999. Additional
information may be obtained by calling the Foundation on 02 6281 0680 or
visiting the web site at http:/www.rural-leaders.com.au.
Marcus Oldham Rural Leadership Program 1999
This program aims to develop the leadership qualities of young Australians
involved in agriculture and will be held from Sunday 27 June to Friday 2
July. The UDV sponsors a number of places in this program. Application
forms are now available. The closing date for applications to be received
at the UDV office is Friday 30th April.
Rural Women's Leadership Bursaries 1999
These bursaries enable successful applicants to undertake courses in
leadership training. 20 bursaries will be presented to Victorian rural
women in recognition of the role they play in sustaining their communities
and the need to encourage and support their increased participation on
boards and committees. Applications close Friday 30th April.
Women Towards 2010
The Women Towards 2000 research project will cover issues confronting women.
Major themes to be investigated will be paid work, family life, health and
well being. Issues such as child care for families involved in farming may
also be investigated. The project team is looking for women from all
backgrounds and age groups to register interest in this project. For
