Display stands included the
CFA, Community Nurse, St Johns Ambulance,
Goulburn Ovens TAFE, VFF (Alicia
McGrath), Workcover and a marvelous cake
stall! Tractors exhibiting
protective safety features were of special
interest. Many thanks to Peter
Dealy and Ian Carkeek for the
organisation of the day. Special donations
were given by Bonlac, Murray
Goulburn and Nestle.

successful applicants to undertake courses in
leadership training. 20

Geoff Gardiner " From My Point of View "

The funeral was too sanitized
That wasn't Geoff,
"Days in the
Old School Yard" came close,
But it didn't touch him.
This is not
meant to be disrespectful to those who chose it,
That's not what I want to
say,
But Geoff was different
And I guess if there was anything about
Geoff,
It was that, he was different.
He would even take a point of view
that was antagonistic
To see if you were "True Blue"
To test you
in extreme circumstances,
It was to discover your truth, his truth.
That
was his signature.
Sometimes there was a position beyond compromise
And on
other occasions an answer with which he agreed
Not only did it depend on
your strength of argument
But reflected your strength of character.
He
saw all, the strong, the vulnerable, the authoritative and the
informative in
the same light,
He viewed them all with indifference and disquiet,
He
yearned a perfect world for them all
And wanted to place a hand on the
result.
And as he moved in ways more mysterious than we knew,
He
influenced us all to take a different point of view.
