Tallow

Frank,

Tallow is melted and clarified animal fat, not a meat product eg blood,
meat meal etc. and is ok to use in animal feed. Some calf milk powders have
tallow in them - one would think the manufacturers would have gone into the
subject of feeding animal by-products before using this in milk powder that
could be sold as a potential meat source.

In fact I just spoke to a nutritionalist at Ridley Agriproducts who
reiterated the comment I started with. Whilst tallow is an animal
by-product it is not a meat byproduct and os therefore ok to feed.
