Hello dairylanders,
Are you all aware that the UDV sponsors three (3) members to attend a study
tour to New Zealand every year and has been doing so for the past 19 years?
The closing date for applications has been set at 26th March this year, so
if you are interested in applying please ring the UDV office very soon - ask
for application form and details.
The selection criteria is -
knowledge of the dairy industry structures in your region and state
demonstrated interest and involvement in the dairy industry in your region
demonstrated leadership in your community, might be footy club, school
council, fire brigade, UDV or other
communication skills to pass on knowledge to other farmers
demonstrated willingness to improve your farm knowlege through participating
in formal or informal post school education through courses, seminars
Tour includes people from each Australian State, but 3 Victorians will go
for free, and partners may accompany at own cost.
29th May to 13th June are the timelines.
Applicants will be selected for interview from written application based on
selection criteria.
The interviews will be held in early April.
