And you rotate your head for proof reading :-) It's not a joke. Early
versions of MS Word J were shipped with special rotated Japanese fonts in
order to compensate the lack of vertical writing ability.

As for Japanese PM, its ability for Japanese text is so poor that, as far
as I know, PM is seldom used for Japanese texts composed in vertical
direction. People say that even MS Word 2000 J (Win) is much better.

I'm now dreaming of robbing a bank in order to purchase the
ultra-super-expensive Japanese version of InDesign (not yet released)
which seems to be the first DTP software satisfying the elementary
requirements of Japanese typography.
