There is a new contribution to the old topic: during spellingcheck (PPC 4400, System 8.6. NW 5.1.3) a total system hang happens. There is no means to exit NW, you have to interrupt by the on/off button the computer. After restart the printing function of the whole system is gone; fortunately in the finder you get the message that there is a problem with the preference file of the active printer driver (in my case Powerprint, Canon BJC Generic - error code -99 (?)). After throwing away the preference file the computer and NW works again normally. Is that a hint to where the problem with the NW spellling checker lies? Greetings Manfred Kropp
