Hi Every One:

I have my first Note asterisked (for acknowledgment) and the rest,
numbered normally from 1.

No problem so far, except that I want to have the first appear as a
footnote on the first page, and the rest as endnotes.

Is this possible ? (I am almost sure the answer is "yes", but "how?"--
that the question).
