I would like you to draw up some examples of what should be concidered transgressions and what should be concidered allowed. How could you know that NW in year 2000 should be able to read emails delivered as files in the Finder when you opened your list back in internet stoneage? Yet, that's what has happened. If this is supposed to be the kind of list you say, your ban on discussing this issue here makes my wonder what you concider on topic.

Thank you for taking my question seriously. I am glad to hear that discussing email macros should be considered on topic. Of course there are certain sides about NE which deals just with how NE functions. But it is not at all that easy always. If you have that top macro for adding attachments but then NE doesn't do the job. Or is it the macro ? Or is it you that don't know the syntax of the NE logic ? etc. And also, if MLP goes wrong, then it is that program that goes wrong. So you won't be able to get NW files from it. Then we would discuss that here. Likewise, if once premier email goes to h*ll and stops pooring ouit NW email files, then one want to discuss that also...

Wise said. Of course. I agree.

You simply have to ask yourself the question "How do I get to work with email as if they were NW files..." or something like that.

There are of course things that are more or less NE vs. NW spesific. My point is just that NE is a tool for letting one work with email in WP's. It is not for letting you work with email as Excell sheets. Just like icWOrd is for non-Word users is NE spesificly for those that want to use their WP for mail. It is not a full fledged standalone emailer.

I also think that part of the heat around this is caused by different ideas about what a WP should be used for.

This said, I think that it might not have been so bad if we could have had a separate sisterlist for NE. It should be a NW & NE list.
