Thanks Fred, I support your decision.

A bit of perspective - when you started up the list, way back in the dark
ages of the Internet, setting up mailing list was not something that just
anyone could do.  Now, with such services as listbot, egroups, etc,
anyone can do it (and lots of people do actually, I, myself, run several
mailing lists).  So, it is now quite easy for anyone to go and set up a
list for, say, NESY, and merely tell the Nisus list members about it, so
they can join if they want to.

I am all the more in agreement with you because I don't use NESY, and am
really fed up with all the off- and off-off-off-topic dross on this list.
 In addition, since there will be a new version of NW in the forseeable
future, there will be plenty to talk about then.
