Similar things have happened to me, but not in connection with NisusEmail and not in a long time--not since I started paying good attention to regular computer maintenance. Check out the advice here: <http://sciencequest.org/support/computers/mac/prevent.html> That whole site is wonderful. There's a troubleshooting link there too that's well worth the reading. It does sound as if using Disk Warrior and rebuilding the desktop would be a good idea for you now, Rick. Be sure to dump the Finder Preferences too. A couple of times under similar circumstances I've also needed to replace the Finder from backup. (If you don't have a good backup for your Finder, you can get a new one off the system installer using TomeViewer; don't pull it from the software on the CD where a drag would work to get one. That easy-to-get version is meant to be read only on the CD; it's slightly different than the version the installer will put on.) Good luck on getting your problem fixed, Rick! -- Best wishes, Mary
