I think the scrolling speed problem resulted from a system upgrade. I was using a Powertower Pro and a Mac 7200 through systems 7 to 8.6. It was after an upgrade of system that the scrolling speed became uncontrollable. G3's and G4's will be using O/S 8.6 or 9 I think.
