Hei Darryl

This happens not only with NW, but with most other textprocessors that have a more complicated menu structure. I've tried Action Files with lots of problems on both a G3 and a PM 7200. The Action Menus is almost the same as Now Menus with only slight differenc es and changes. (Now Utilities was bought by PowerOn Software).

The programs that has the worst stiffness and attempts to freeze are:
ClarisWorks 4.x, AppleWorks 5.x, Nisus Writer - all versions, MSOffice 4.2.x and MSO 98, Ragtime 4 and 5, WordPerfect 3.0 and 3.5E. - These are the programs that I tried with AM installed before deleting it again because of the freezes.

Cheers, Erik Richard

With both NW 5.1.3 (demo) and NW 4.1.6 there was always a short delay or stiffness before the menu would drop down. Occassional this stiffness would turn into a full on system freeze. I initially thought that this was a product of NW's "Menu Loading Bug" but I just today turned off Action Menus and have found this stiffness has completely disappeared. Perhaps there is a small bug between the two programs.
